Julie lives in the north west. A professional freelance writer since 2003, she has enabled individuals, community groups and charities to tell their stories, express their views, convey information and change peoples perceptions. Specialising in heritage writing, she has written personal life stories, local history essays, the history of local companies and organisations, guided heritage trails and scripts about people, places and events.

She has also had plays performed and workshopped by professional theatre companies, and used them to train health and social care professionals. She is a qualified tutor with over thirty years experience teaching Writing and Drama and organising events in colleges and community venues for children, teenagers, adults with learning difficulties, older people, and mental health service users. All work undertaken is rigorously researched and prepared, tailored to individual needs and delivered to a highly professional standard. She has DBS clearance and holds Public Liability Insurance.
